I found this word thanks to my dog, Olivia.
She chews everything in sight. We've gone through quite a few dog toys, not to mention two remote controls, five dog beds, two brand new area rugs and much more.
So I bought a new toy to distract her:
Et voila, there it was:
Une friandise is a bit of candy, a sweet treat. The new toy dispenses les friandises pour les chiens.
And I hope that the Divine Miss Lil, a magnificent dog who lived long and was well-loved, is munching on les friandises on the other side of that rainbow bridge she recently crossed.
I'm so glad you are back to blogging regularly! It has been a treat to read your recent posts. I teared up over Lilly, your friend's lovely dog. You and Lilly's person have helped me realize what a dear companion and a comfort a dog can be. Dogs were not allowed in my family of 8 siblings--Mom had her hands full and didn't welcome pets. Someday when I don't travel so much, I want to have a dog to live with. And he/she shall have a treat-ball, pleine de friandises!
