Barbara Becquiot, Bourgogne France

I have a beautiful quilt-like tapestry hanging above my bed. I found it in my mailbox one morning and I don't know if I ever told the person who had completed it and sent it to me that I burst into tears upon opening the package, I found it so breathtakingly beautiful. The person who sent it to me knew of my love for horses and the theme was just that, "horses", but mythical horses, of every color. It didn't represent so much the horses themselves, as the energy and physical harmony in the horses' movement. I still relive that same emotion on a daily basis, each time I enter the room, the piece is so full of warmth and beauty. Ok, Tut would probably say I'm just being overly romantic about a bit of sewing, it's ok, maybe she was too when she made that piece of "artwork" and sent it to me here in Burgundy. If it is the case, well then, "Vive le romantisme! Vive la couture romantique!"
