What a great idea, Tut. There used to be a bookstore where I lived in the 14th arrondissement in Paris. You could bring him two books in exchange for one and I remember that the Jack London Bookstore in Kenwood had racks of books left outside after closing time. There was a little box and you could drop into it whatever you could give. Fortunately, libraries are still going strong in France and I've got my card.
