I happened to be near Hôtel de Ville on Sunday.
And I heard lots of sirens and suddenly about 30 police vans flew by.
Not just police, but the CRS - the riot police.
Turns out there were 2 or 3 different manifs going on (manifestation = demonstration). One was relatively sedate, about a cure for HIV....
I do love the demonstration dogs:
The other manif had something to do with the Kurds. But that march was heading in a different direction than I was going. Plus, I got distracted by the CRS guys.
Their outfits are so very Mad Max meets Jean Paul Gaulthier.
